Use this pump when you need to transfer or recirculate water anywhere in your home or job site. Its versatile design allows you to keep your water sparkling in your statuary fountains or other water displays in your yard. You can also use it for air conditioners, machine tool coolants, and other applications where liquid needs to be circulated. Built with epoxy-coated die-cast aluminum housing and cover, this submersible pump boasts a durable exterior designed for continuous duty. When you take a look inside, you’ll notice that the motor housing is permanently oiled. This allows the motor to run at maximum efficiency without burning up and reduces the amount of maintenance you have to pay attention to. The 1/200 HP direct drive motor keeps the body of this submersible pump compact. Measuring only 3.7 inches at the base and 4.3 inches tall, you can squeeze this pump into small spaces so you can keep it out of eyesight. Thanks to the polypropylene volute and elbow and nitrile shaft seal, you’ll know that external fluids are kept out of the body of this pump. No more worrying about water seeping in through the cracks to damage the motor after years of use. To keep your submersible pump running at its best and your water clean and flowing, periodic cleaning of the pump parts is recommended. Not only will it prolong the life of the pump, but it will also move your water more efficiently. All you have to do is remove the intake screen from the pump and remove the 3 screws in the middle. Then, lightly clean any corrosion or debris that may be clogging the impeller. You can use a brush and penetrating oil to lightly scrape any encrusted stubborn debris. Enjoy this low-maintenance option of keeping your water moving in your decorative fountain or removing water from it to prepare for the colder months with this Little Giant 1-A 170 GPH Oil-Filled Direct Drive Submersible Pump.
