Our #1000 Grit Orange Shapton Professional Ceramic Water Stone is designed for professional use. It will very rapidly remove scratches from coarser stones and establish a wire edge (burr). The stone is fired at a high temperature with a mixture of coarse #1000 abrasive and a clay binder. The case has rubber feet help prevent slippage.
